PRICING & FAQs
I offer 90-minute sessions to have space to go deep. The middle price ($150) is the actual cost. Then I have two sliding scale options. Please read the descriptions to see where you fall into these economic categories. If you need the low payment option, email me to ask about availability.
If you live in Eastern Iowa, visit my Facebook page for a locals discount.
Sliding Scale-Low Option
(limited amount)- This is for those whose economic circumstances would prevent them from seeking coaching without a lowered price
- If you struggle to maintain access to needs such as health care, housing, food, and child care and are living paycheck to paycheck or are in significant debt, you probably belong here and deserve equal opportunity
True Cost of the Session
- If you have access to financial security, own property, or have personal savings, you would not traditionally qualify for sliding-scale services
- If you are able to pay for “wants” and spend little time worrying about securing necessities in your life, this is the price to pay
Sliding Scale-Middle Option
(limited amount)- You do not honestly find yourself reflected in either description for the highest cost or the lowest
- If you are struggling to conquer debt or build savings or move away from paycheck-to-paycheck living but have access to steady income and are not spending most of your time thinking about meeting basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, child care, etc., you belong here
- If you, however, can ask others for financial support, such as family members, partners, or friends, please consider using those personal resources before you use the resources of the sliding scale and limit opportunities for others
I use Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s sliding scale. Find more information here.

FAQ
Frequently Asked
How is your style of coaching different than therapy?
Like therapy, I hold space for a range of emotions and experiences so you can heal. However, I am not a therapist. I do not diagnose mental conditions; instead, I am IFS (internal family systems) level 1 trained practitioner. I believe you have all the resources and wisdom within you to heal. I focus on unburdening extreme beliefs and emotions and reorganizing your life (internally and externally) in the way your multidimensional self wants.
How effective is the IFS model?
The IFS Institute is expanding its body of research to support the efficacy of the IFS model in alleviating and resolving trauma, stress, anxiety, and depression.
How is your style of coaching different than other personal growth/life coaching?
I go deep where traditional coaching only dips its toe into the psyche, focusing on shifting your mindset. I am deep person; I see meaningful patterns within systems, including our individual, relational, psychic/soma (mind/body) systems. Also, I’m in a PhD program in depth psychology.
AND sometimes, things don’t need to be so deep. Like emotional/mental health coaching, I focus on practices and actions that will move you closer to your wellbeing goals. I also serve as your accountability partner. I will coach you in a compassionate and understanding way, going deep and then coming back up to the surface.
Do I pay before or after a session?
I have a strict policy. Payment is required before each session.
What forms of payment do you take?
What is a first session like?
In our first session, we will discuss your situation and anything you want me to know about you. Please come as you are. All of you is welcome. Then, we will identify the issue and establish an intention for a desired goal.
What kind of skills will I develop working with you?
You will develop mindfulness skills, meaning instead of acting impulsively, you will have more space between your emotions and thoughts to make decisions based on your values.
You will develop emotional regulation skills. You will be able to identify what you’re feeling and why. Also, you will be able to notice how much the feeling is coming up because of a past situation and have a more conscious awareness of what the feeling is asking of you in the present.
You will improve your reflection and critical thinking skills by engaging with different patterns in your life.

What to Expect
In sessions expect for me to slow things down. We will always go at the pace of your system, and I will encourage you to look within to notice what thoughts, feelings, and sensations are present. Here we can unravel old patterns and grieve any losses so you can have a fresh presence for what truly matters to you.
I bring in somatic practices (noticing what’s happening in your body) so you can process and heal. I like our sessions to be flexible and attuned to what’s happening within, instead of having a structured agenda. It is a co-creative process, so I’m continuously checking in to ask if you’re open to trying out exercises and going in certain directions.
I will have assessments for you to complete in the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of our work so we can gauge change. Also, I encourage feedback throughout the process. Coaching is a collaboration. If something doesn’t feel right or you want to go deeper in a certain area, please let me know.
You will begin to feel more authentic and alive in your body. This healing will increase intimacy and joy in all areas of your life. I can’t wait to support you in this life-changing work.
